Boat Ramp at Kaw Point

January 8th 2004. Kansas City Kansas Unified Government public works department works with Neighbors Construction and Goedecke Co. set forms and tie rebar for the all new KCK boat ramp at Kaw Point.


January 12, 2004. Volunteers including local cat-fishermen, Friends of the Kaw, Neighbors Construction, Ash Grove Cement Co. and Concrete Placement Co. begin pouring the 150 foot section of the first public boating access ramp in KCK.

Volunteer site coordinator Mike Calwell using the "groove tool" to roll non-slip gooves into the surface of the wet concrete ramp.

Nearing the end of four hour pour and 55 yards of concrete donated by Ash Grove.
